More from Miss Fox!

More customized pieces from Miss Fox...

I had shaved the paint off of the neck of a Standard Sarvos figure, because I wanted it to match the color on the chest. With a random assemblage of parts, I wanted to bring forth a Sarvos who has assembled his (or her) gear from bits that were laying around somewhere. Miss Fox painted the helmet in three colors that I choose to recognize as a secret sect of the Sarvos. The significance of this helmet will continue to bring problems to the life of this Fugitive Sarvos...

A favorite film of mine from the 1980's is Little Shop of Horrors.
"Feed me, Seymour!" Audrey II was a mean green motha from outer space, but not the only one of its kind. Yep - it was from the Glyos system. This is another member of its race.

Accompanying Not Audrey II is a female Glyan with long pony-tails; the head was originally an Order head, painted and added to with sculpting materials to achieve the desired look.

This duo is a rough-and-tumble female Glyan and her "more machine than traveler" Scar Pheyden companion. Other than the paint jobs, the chest on the female was added to with sculpting material.

And lastly, the completed sculpt for her main character. The clothing and body and head were painted after the sculpt was completed.

More characters are in the works, including one very special to me...

New Customizer - Miss Fox!

I've had Glyos figures around my house for a long while now, and from time to time, I've customized some. And now, my wife has wound up customizing a few figures...

Meet Slinger Pheyden.

I had assembled a body during a weekend-long, snowed-in Glyos building fest, but just didn't feel any of the heads were working for it. I gave her the body and a Scar head, and she came up with this. The orange is intentionally splotchy - this Pheyden has been out in the wastelands for a long time, his skin cracked by the sun of the planet on which he drifts. I especially like the two-tone effect on the head.

Here is her take on some Crayboth.

But what she really wanted to do was sculpt up a figure....
Here is a work in progress pic of her vision for a Glyos character.

More to come.

The Evil that Lies Within...

Everybody has that line they obsessed over in childhood and later obtained, only to find that the toys weren't all that hot.

Inhumanoids is one of mine.
I greatly enjoyed the cartoon, and wanted to relive the adventure (on a shelf, imagining playing with them). So I picked up lots over the years and this was the end result before they were terminated.

There were just so many missed opportunities on this line. The Earth Corps should have been tied in to Gi Joe, as they technically were on the show via the presence of some Sunbow toon mainstays; the way to do this would have been a 3 3/4 figure with removable armor.
The monsters, as crazy as this sounds, should have been bigger.

My stupid nerdy dream is that Hasbro will launch something similar to Matty Collector and put out a dream Inhumanoids line. But I so know it would tank harder than anything you could imagine. Perhaps someday.
